PS2 VS XBOX

I own a Ps2, my friend owns an XBox. I have played both extensively. It is hard to say which one is better. Controllers are veeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrry similar, and many games are shared. There are some exclusive games that people hate. Halo and Halo2 are loved by XBox owners, but people who own other consoles (or use a Computer) aren't often impressed by them, and most think they are crap. I personally think that the Ps2 and the XBox are equal, and it doesn't matter which one you use, you will still enjoy it (unless you are mentally deficient). Play Runescape and join legion of the hackers.

good statement but the controllers aint really the same the XBOX controller is quite hard to find unlike to ps2 which is nice and compact even though i own a xbox

i think the xbox controler is easier to use my self.. i find the l 1&2 and r 1&2 to be very annoying... though if you are a vet. on playing the ps1 or 2 then its no big deal... most of my game play is done on the xbox... which ithink isa better machine

the ps2 has had to many problems... i.e. dvd incompatabliity which got sony sued... controlers are to easy to break... no hard drive... which yes they ahve one now but its very expensive... from what i have been told anyways.

when graphics come into the picture i believe xbox has got the PS2 beat...

though both machines offer great exculsive titles i still think i gotta go for xbox...

i mean if we didnt have xbox we wouldnt have halo 1 or 2... and if we didnt have halo we wouldnt have www.redvsblue.com if you're a halo fan and havnt seen this site check it out...

ummm....does it matter if the controls are great? ive got both consoles at home and personally, if u are more into graphics and high end stuff id guess u guys would go for the XBOX.

but if ur looking for a more engrossing storyline to play then i say the japanese have really gotten it down to a pat. Games like the FF series and the upcoming GT4; they are seriously making me doubt if buying an XBOX was a wise choice. (id say, if XBOX bought some of the rights to some of the Japanese RPG games....damn...dat'll be the bomb.)

so yeah...my 2cents worth.
i guess its what the user is intrested in playing rather then the specifications of the console which is important.

Xbox is simply the best . First when u pull it out of the box u could just feel the quality right away its a real gaming system in comparison to ps2 which is lighter, less technological advanced, lacks adequate memory to process its claim, and almost always faulty expecially while playing my dvds. I believe most pc game will be upgraded to play on Xbox and soon be playing the popular doom 3 and rescue my pc memory. Talk about my fav" i enjoy soul calibur 2, red dead revolver and sufferring and by the way most live millitary combat training are now going high tech and Xbox will be the host meaning' lots of more spectaculars coming soon on Xbox. hahaa(':wink:')

It seems like I'm watching more DVD movies on playstation II then games, I'll say play station 2 since it plays DVD's out of the box

PSP's are out on 3/24.

first i have a PS2, and i love it,but i think XBOX have nothing to envy to ps2, in performance XBOX is in the lead, but to say the truth guys who makes coolest games try to publish their satuff on PS2 first, most of the japenese games(which i love a lot) dont even think to publish their games on XBOX, for me PES series on PS2 are innegaled by any other soccer title, but KONAMI surprised everybody by publishin the Winning Eleven 8(who is nothin but PES4) on the xbox.after that i see no difference in titles between the 2 engines but MSG. in the near future i ll not be surprised if i see my self with an XBOX in my home

You all mention graphics but there are two problems. Your average cathde ray TV limits both machines graphics to the point where you can't really distinguish between the 2. Even with plasmas and LCDs, they have to be pretty f*cking huge before the difference is noticeable. The second problem is that when a game is amde for one platform, it is much easier to exchange the logarithms to suit a different platform than to rewrite the logarithms and their input ratios so that the graphics engines are used to their full capability.

Most games are released on PS2 are done 3 to 6 months before XBOX and PC and Gamecude versions come out, so that has to be an advantage. Look at Need For Spped Underground 2, or GTA San Andreas. I'd played and finished these games before my friends with PCs and XBOXes has even had the chane to bvuy them.

I still think we should all just agree that PS2 and XBOX are good, and that we would be better off spending our time pointing out how much the gamecube sucks!!! :wink:
