Great minds think alike I'm kind of good at math, but I'm no "Math Major" or Engineer lol..

As you can deduct form what she says in her board, she's doing it completely by hand because she can't seem to use excel or work a computer program. those would probably make the math faster.

Yeah, I guessed right last week and didn't win. I was sure I double-checked the spelling and everything. Did anyone here who won last weeks put spaces?

I see what you are saying now with your system of polynomials and I agree. I think what is key here is the fact that the values are not all unique so it will not be a purely ascending sequence, hmm..

I don't think that the person on the Neopets board is trolling. At least one other person seems to have solved it as well, and that person doesn't seem to contradict anything the original poster said. Seems like one of those sequences where you either get the idea right away (5 or 10 minutes), or you struggle for a very long time, if you get it at all.

I still can't shake the feeling that somehow previous Lenny Conundrums are involved. All of the other 100 puzzles (100, 200, 300) were related to past puzzles.

I've tried things with letter and word count, and even dates. I pretty much started from LC #1. Now I am back to thinking they are sorted in some order. The shortest puzzle is probably #119, but I can't make any sense out of the letter / word count there.

Very strange. I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that they haven't posted last week's answer yet. Maybe they haven't finished distributing the neomails or something.

I'm thinking that since the numbers we're given are rising, they must peak at some point and come back down, hence a repeat of a couple of numbers. Does anyone know where to look for something like that in neopets or figure an equation that fits that?

if a =84, b=134, c=218, d=294 and e=380.

I have come up with c+b=a then a+d = e

cant see a pattern after this point!

I know this seems obvious, but has anyone tried to use a website to find the pattern. That is, just in case it is indeed mathematical. I could have sworn there was a website out there that you can just type in the numbers and it will spit out the formula/pattern whatever. Tried google, but can't find the website.

Do you think 400 people have gotten it so far? I don't think so, unless the answer has been leaked. I think at least a few have solved it. Apparently, one solver said it was mostly (all?) math, while another said it was mostly Neo-related, so at least some of the "solvers" got it wrong.

There may have been one or two posters who said they solved it the day after, but it definitely seems like the vast majority solved it in 5-10 minutes (even if it took time to figure out the final answer). If these posters are accurate and honest, then it doesn't appear that the answer hinges on, say, looking at the word count for all previous LCs and putting them in order, as that would take a substantial amount of time just to see if that's the answer. It also doesn't seem like the answer would be in some extremely esoteric area.

I didn't see any clues in the lookups for the people who claimed to have solved it.
