From the board:
----
look at the first letter of all the lenny conundrum answers since number 1.
get the ascii character code of that letter.
add all the ascii character codes together for lc 1 to 399.
now we just need the 400th number (because it says for 400 numbers not 399)

so far our total is 25404

we know the first letter of the 400th answer will be a '2', so add 50 to 25404 = 25454
----
I didn't go anywhere near ASCII characters. I think a few LCs in the past have dealt with them, though.

I didn't even know what ASCII was until now so I'm not too mad about not getting it xP

The current prize for the first 250 correct entries is a Niptor. You will also get a cool trophy that people can see when they do a user lookup on you! And all correct entries will split the 2,000,000 Neopoint prize pool.

THIS WEEKS PUZZLE - ends Next Wednesday, most likely
What was the most common answer submitted to last week's Lenny Conundrum?

Your answer must match exactly (including any punctuation or capitalization) in order to get it correct!

400. Hope I got it!

I guessed 4000, just because the numbers kept going up. 400 may be more likely, however.

Only 4 people answered the last one correctly, huh? I wonder if the person who posted on the Neoboards was actually one of them.

... I also wonder what that "special prize" was. I'm a curious sort, yes.

And I totally BS'd an answer of 400 on the last LC, so I'm guessing 400 for this one too Very Happy

@blacksuzaku,
10 people got it correct, according to the news.

And yes, Jennydujour DID have it correct (as much as I doubted it). She currently has the negg on her trading post, so no faking or lying about that.

I knew she got it right because she upgraded her trophy. She apparently was one off, so either TNT gave some leeway or maybe she typed her answer wrong, making it right.

I think I might be the only one entering 4000. Razz I never do well at the guessing ones.

Should've realised from all the numbers increasing by 84+. It'll be funny when the current conundrums answer turns out to be 'banana' with 1 winner

On jennydujour's lookup, there's a picture of TNT headquarters. Think her or her friends know somebody on the inside??

Wow, not posting here anymore if you are just going to give out answers like that. Very uncool.

@vvktv,
What exactly is wrong with his (or her, I'm not sure) blog? It works just like this forum does, but in a slightly more user-friendly format.

He posts the LC as a blog post...someone almost always does that here.
The comments section are open to discussion...just like it is here.
Commenters offer ideas or hints...just like they do here.
An answer is usually found (at least that's the hope)...just like an answer is found here.

The only difference is that when an answer is found here, it is in a forum post. This invites people who refuse to read posts to just repeatedly ask for the answer after it has been clearly posted. On his blog, the original post is edited to include the answer. So no one needs to spam the comments section begging for an answer.

@elybelly,
Liar. And who are you? We do not supply answers, FYI. We want everybody to do it themselves, simply supplying hints, and heping people do it. Sometimes, people go and say EXACTLY how to do it, but those who are STILL too lazy to do it won't get anything. also, we're all in it for the neopoints and the prizes, so the more people know the answer, the more neopints WE get, and the more likely we are to get a prize.

@wertyiu102,
Wow. First and foremost, liar is a strong word, especially when you are so very wrong. A very brief scan of just the last 5 pages should show you that answers always get posted eventually. They just do. I've been contributing on this board on and off for over 4 years, and that is how it has always been.

In fact, the only time an answer isn't posted is either when no one finds the answer, or so few people find the answer that all solvers realize they are in for a a very large prize pool, so they keep it to themselves. In general though, we're looking at 1,000-3,000 correct answers each week; that isn't going to make a huge difference in the amount of np you get or how rare the prize is. Also, if you only work out the lc for the np and the prizes, I can tell you that there are many faster and easier ways to earn np and get rare (and not-rare-at-all) prizes.

I found a hidden page that has lamps on it... do we count those as well?

@braingoboom,
My guess would be yes. Our goal is to count up all the (specific) lanterns and fans that Moltara must power.

I've only found:
9 hanging lanterns: 711 watts
3 spherical lanterns: 141 watts
5 fans: 565 watts

Total: 1417

BUT...I've checked other forums that claim there are more hanging lanterns. I don't know if that is because they are counting lanterns that I eliminated (because they are not the same as the one in the question) or if they found lanterns I haven't found.

I checked all the shops to my knowledge.

@elybelly,
Disregard the math in my prior post. I can't edit it. Here is what it should be:

10 hanging lanterns: 790 watts
3 spherical lanterns: 141 watts
5 fans: 565 watts

Total: 1496 watts

My prior post was based on my initial count which I know is wrong.

Well here is my hidden link. I stumbled across it by clicking on the rainbow worm. o.o I tried clicking on the worm again but it didn't lead me back so I was unsure.

@elybelly,
No, we don't say answers until the Lenny Con. is OVER. Duuh. Seriously. It does make a difference. And it's not fair if a person were to just give out an answer.
