Historically, it appears that in a Playfair cipher, you don't necessarily need to put I/J together. Instead, you could remove a letter, such as X.
You also don't need to put the key word/phrase in order from left to right, top to bottom before continuing on with the rest of the alphabet. You could choose any pattern - rows, columns, spirals, etc. This is likely to make the on-line solvers much less useful.
The biggest issue is that the double letters mean this cannot be a straight Playfair cipher.
One thought I had was that the pairing of the letters might just be a distraction. For all we know, it could be a simple substitution cipher.
where do you find the POLLS place?
@DrStevo,
does is mean most popular among people or by created pets?
sorry for lurking....
but the polls say for the basic colours only.....
and also the poll is not closed yet >.>
@hikarirain,
I would think by sheer numbers.
@Nooblette,
Quote:the polls say for the basic colours only
True, but given that it costs NP to buy a paintbrush to paint a pet, I'm guessing that all the basic colours would be more common than any of the painted colours.
Of course the most common colour might not be the most popular colour. I can see that people might have a desire for a colour they can't afford.
@DrStevo,
Try looking at the More Results on the random poll.
@DrStevo,
Answer the Daily Puzzle first
@DrStevo,
not sure what to put up ...
@hikarirain,
Whatever the majority says
I looked at the WRONG place first, and got too eager to get an answer in early, now I see where the answer was different.
I can't figure out the cipher to even get the question.
@Megweno,
I've looked at the Daily Puzzle and the Polls having to do with color or neopets and still nothing is connecting because I can't figure out the question I'm supposed to answer...
Any hints or tips?
anyone that can't get the question yet...write out your alphabet with the numbers 1-26 under the letters..such as a=1, b=2 etc. For each pair of letters add them together then divide the answer by 2 such as T=20, Z=26...20+26=46/2=23=W. Do that for each pair of letters and you will get the quesiton.
@Megweno,
How about this poll?
Which of the four basic colours is your favourite?
do you think that survey shacks : majority rules could help??
Red 343,959
Blue 535,717
Green 247,426
Yellow 103,733
