wetardit my be the "neopets administrator" idk, it's possible, and i am not 100% on this but isn't there something that protects people's right to write what they want, as long as it's not libel, isn't that why people can do tabloid newspapers?

I dun think it's even possible to completely 'ban' any users of this site or any other social network from sharing information such as the solutions to LC. I can post it up in my blog & my friend's blog for all I want too.

& I really wonder, how is TNT going to carry out their 'investigation'??? I'm 100% sure Able2Know will NOT disclose any of their users' info to Neopets? Privacy policy pls.

Even if they were to track down the IP addresses (which is an ILLEGAL act unless u r the a police investigator for a case), they have a VERY low chance of succeeding. U see, I can use my home PC network to log onto Neopets, but only use my schl's library PC or my bro's laptop or some other public library PC to log onto this forum. Heys, my IP address for my neopets acc & this acc will be totally diff eh? They don't match... How r they going to freeze it then eh? I really wonder...

Is it possible that an attitude of entitlement, of elitism, of being "owed" somehow, and "nobody can stop me, so don't even try to get in my way!", as seems evidenced in some recent posts, might conceivably be related to why so many sites have banned Neopians...?

Just my guess, of course; I could be wrong....

Lies are lies & the only 1 who can confirm/deny it is the liar himself. The post by 'Neopets Administrator' (and user too) may be a big fat lie, isn't it?

A lie that is used to threaten the gullible, who seemed to fall prey to any 'fact' given to them by an 'authoritarian', WITHOUT questioning the validity of it. Ever wondered smt like 'How do I noe if this statement is reliable?' or 'What/where are the sources which backs it up?' Quotes? Provenence? Statistics?

I pondered.

Are you gonna fall prey to it? Certainly not me. Go figure it out for urself.

I have not posted often, mainly due to the daylight savings times changes that prohibit me from offering any constructive help that has not already been addressed.
I accept stapel's comments with respect, however, like several other forum members, I find it difficult to believe that Neopets were unaware of this site until this last "scare".
It would not be difficult to sign up to this forum with an "official sounding name", threaten and warn everyone off. My 9 year old daughter could do just that (with a little help with her spelling).
If Neopets has an issue with this forum, I feel sure it will be addressed in The Neopian Times.
Personally, I also wonder how much control Neopets has over an offsite forum. Having said that, as stapel pointed out, it may become an issue for Able2Know - it will then be their decision as to whether this thread should be banned.
For now, I will continue to use this forum, and offer help if and when I can - although, most of you guys are just way faster than me anyway.

and ussually most ppl try to re-doing all the answers that already posted. and sometimes I can't find out how the mystery works. this forum was helping lot of ppl to socialize. the ppl that doesn't like this forum is a kind of egoism ppl who like to win a big pot for himself. I don't know how ppl that report this forum felt. They should be ashamed as an egoist ppl. lot of confusing questions was given in the lenny without proper explanation how to get the answer. They just explained the question that not many ppl get through.

wew, so if you want lots of money. I believe u can get it by play the games in neopets. but if you r a kind of ppl who like mystery and love to solve everything, you need this kind of forum.

I just had to chime in. Anyone who comes here to get the answer is cheating. But not US, the people who work out the answer together. neopets has clearly stated it is fine if you work in groups to solve the conundrum, and that is what this is. A GROUP WORKING OUT ANSWERS. Whoever is claiming to be an administrator I doubtit. And as to the person saying we are cheating, read the editorials.

I completely agree! The only cheaters in regard to this thread, are those who only come here to see the answer and submit it to get the cash.

Us, who actually try to work it out - even if we don't contribute to the answer being found - are NOT cheating. Even if you can't help, the fact that you are trying means something! And at some point, a puzzle will come along that you can help figure out, we can't all be good at everything =)

I think it's just someone who wants to keep LC a prestigious thing, only for the elite, and then pretending to be a member of the TNT. And no rule on Neopets say that we can't discuss the answer AWAY from the site =p so there.

Personally, I am not against a group of people helping each other to solve the lenny conundrums. I just think that there is too much cheating here. How exactly is it helpful to just tell everyone the answer without expecting them to work it out? As for the people who like puzzles and want to know how to solve these, can't you wait until the week is over. When the round is over, then discuss how to get the answer. Asking about it 10 minutes after a new round has begun is cheating. How many times have you heard this on this site?

Don't trash what you don't know, Mr. I've-Only-Written-Five-Posts =p when people say 'please give me the answer' for whatever reason, they are always told to use the informatation given on how to work it out, and work it out themselves. The actual answer is most often not posted, only the way to find it.

But yes, when people have very different opinions about what the answer is and/or how you are supposed to find the answer, they write both their answer and method of finding it to compare notes. But then you get several answers and often no way of knowing which is right. And that just makes it more exciting: Who was right? We won't know until the puzzle ends...

And the Neopians frequently reply along the lines of "quit being so rude and give me the danged answer NOW! & make shur its the WRITE ans i dont noe the math + dont care! HELP ME ASAP or DONT ANWSER!!!!"

If these people were willing to contribute something positive to the process, then tutoring services wouldn't have had to ban them. Rolling Eyes

I agree with you Eliz, it is so irritating because I don't mind doing my share in trying to figure out the answer. It is the people like you described that ruin it for all of us that do genuinely try to figure out the answer. I have been stuck with the silver trophy for some time now and I have given up all hopes of ever having gold because I refuse to cheat for my answers. I have principles and want to earn it.

wetardit=Neopets Administrator am i the only one that thinks that? and i try to work out the conundrums but a lot of it (i don't do them every week) but the ones i have seen are like finding patterns which i am not very good with, and i would rather ppl post their work and show ppl HOW to get the answer instead of like ok the answer is this u can leave us alone now, it's a learning experience and i am grateful for it

I'm the opposite - I great with patterns, but BAD with math! I've learned a fair few math tricks from this forum, and I'm grateful for it. And it's so much fun talking to all of you =) just imagine, all of us online all at once, all over the world, doing the same thing. How can that be bad?

some patterns i am ok with, like picture yeah they're fun, but that is about it, and math, i am ok but i need a formula to follow or i will overthink everything and make it so much harder than it is and be completely on the wrong track

Personally I'm not good at Lenny Conundrum as I've only ever gotten one :S. anyways i was surfing the web to see if there were any tips to working them out and I found this site. I already gave a LC answer to this week's puzzle (which I think is wrong :S) anyways I hope I can help you guys work LC out but I might live in a different timezone to you guys Sad

. I doubt that "Neopets Administrator" is the real thing. If it was the guy/girl would no its ok to work out LC in a group (as friendsforever stated). I just pity all those cheapskates who want the answer without contributing.
