I think you need to go through week by week. For example, last week 6336 people got it right and each received 316 NPs. This means that 2,002,176 NPs were awarded last week. I think you would need to do this for each week to get the answer (too much work for me!!!!).

k ..... a neopian year starts on Nov 15th which should mean the 1st LC for yr 9 was on Nov 28th since the 15th was a thursday & the 21st was Thanksgiving in the US.

The prize is not the only reward for getting the right answer. Everyone with the correct answer will split the 2,000,000 NP reward. By cheating and telling everyone the solution to the Lenny Conundrum, you're increasing the number with the right answer and therefore decreasing the amount of NP each person receives.
Not only is it stupid because you get less NP, it is also unethical. Do the people who run Neopets.com know about this site? I'm sure if they did, they would not be very happy. I'm only on this site because I want to try to stop this constant cheating.
Yes it is cheating. But this site is not about Neopets. Go back and read all the threads. This is a basic forum full of many topics. So Neopets cannot do anything about it. Sorry.

i counted every single np rewards in the news pages, and came up with that exactly: 94,100,863 neopoints.
the total prize given every week is not 2 millions exactly...it's a bit off...sometimes it's 2 millions and 6 thousands something...another time it's just 2 milions and 3 hundred something...
even though the amount of the neopoints is reduced but there is secondary prize which is only given out to the first 250 people that answered correctly...so i guess neopets also somewhat anticipate that there will be website that's gonna post the answer to the competition in this case lenny conundrum.
