Well if you figure year 9 started on the 15th of November this year and the question is "were awarded" then there has been 4 Lenny's this year.

I dunno. When I went to the news archives, it classified all of 2007 as Y9, and I used the archives to get the right number of NP awarded, so...

So 94,000,000 is wrong after all...

Of course you need to go through Neopian Times archive for 2007 (and 2007 is Y9, not since November) and multiply number of winners by actual amount of award for each one... Then add them all up....

They say all so I think it is January till now

Hm... I summed them up too, but I got a slightly different number. Well, I'm probably too late for the gold trophy anyway, so doesn't matter. Oh and I think it's all of 2007 that counts, since it's declared as Y9 in the news archive. But I agree, that technically we're not able to solve this at all, since there's a LC, where there was a certain amount of NP awarded to some people without them stating how much.

"Year ___" is always the current year minus 1998 [the first year Neopets started being 1999, Year 1], therefore 2007 - 1998 = 9 is the current Neopian year.

This is different from how old Neopets itself is [currently, eight years old]. Most people get confused because Year 1 happened to be a very short year
