clue

oh gosh...
i though i found it cuz 2 numbers were mathcing....

ok

there are 7 words in S in this alliteration
there are 7 hours

so we must find something with S and 7 or at least 7 cuz the alliteration is there to enlight us, a bit like last week, he looked at the calendar...

i think that it might be so, but ..this sudenly hit me, what if it is an evil trick to throw us of track?

I think maybe the 757 is right.

there are 7 'S' words and 'S' resembles the number 5 and then the last 7 is the 7th hour.
But that is a guess. I can't find a mathematical pattern.

When added up you get 3777; interestingly there are 3 symols pictured and the seven is the number hinted to be significant.

well, i don't think that the S resembnlance in 5 is that important.

So many of us will be upset next week when we finally find out the answer. I sort of believe the answer is right in our face and we are over-looking it. It has always been said to me when you are looking for something and don't see it and someone else comes along and find it just like that, turns around and look at you and say: If it was a snake it would have bitten you! The answer has to be looking right at us on the LC page. Just guessing.

The first 5 numbers are either divisible by 7 or 8. Except for the last which i guess is a prime number. (Wouldn't that wreck the alliteration?)

61 * 7 = 427
32 * 8 = 256
39 * 8 = 312
78 * 7 = 546
82 * 8 = 656
823*1 = 823

well, i think that no answer is concrete either, in the end, maybe like 10 people will answer and get 100k each...=[ well, i'll check back later..

Well I'm with bookworm, I'm not ready to submit an answer yet.
I think 3777 is the strongest answer yet but it doesn't quite sit with me as right, like the other math type question's answers have.

I going to wait/ Lots of poeple sumit answers as fast as possible in hopes of being in the first 250 but if you submit wrong...well clearly you won't get the trophy.

My first 250 was a math question and I didn't submit the answer until at least a full day after the question was released.

Good luck all.

This one is really disappointing... I'm going to be up all night with these numbers spinning around my head.

well, it looks like very little progress was made. except restating the obvious, that 7's are abound...

Ok.. bear with me hear but this might be a stretch...

assume 823 is tea and we just ignore that...

then we have the pattern of the first multiple being.. 7,8,8,7,8
we can logically deduct the next one would be 8.

Now, the second multiplier would be from the pattern 61,32,39,78,82...
using the above pattern, i assumed the next one would be 89.

It's hard to explain 89 but simply put, the first time the 8 multiplier came out was 32, then next was 39. So the next iteration of 8 was 82, therefore 89.

Notice also the that both times 7 came out as the multiplier, the numbers almost doubled.

So there, 8*89= 738. Or 3758 cubic inches burrowed.

I could be very wrong and this is a stretch since I didn't factor in 823 in the process.

interesting... I'm not sure we can just ignore the last number of the sequence, but it is kind of a pain being prime and all

Was reading back posts...I think the closest...is probably like the 757... But I have no clue. I thought doing something else and coming back would help. It hasn't.
