Ooops, I forgot about Ogrins.

Well, I wasn't going to give my answer, but I'd better say now that another answer's been revealed.

I put orange, because you can get orange pteris:


BOTH answers seem reasonable:
- Ogrin:
all the others are pets.
- orange:
(a) the fact that all the others (barring Ps) are pets is irrelevant -- this is about the lab ray
(b) because it's a small o: The Discarded Magical Blue Grundo Plushie of Prosperity.

Personally I think the answer's going to be Ogrin, but I sincerely hope that TNT either accept the logic of the small 'o', or allow both answers.

Maybe we should try writing a mail to the TNT. When i thought Ogrin i didn't see that it could be orange...

Since the non-species changes were marked with a P for keeping a Pteri, I don't really see the orange (which would be the only letter not marking a species change). I went by the url-name and there're all small letters. Well, I'm not 100% sure of the Ogrin, but I'd say it's more plausible than orange, which should have been marked by another P. *shrugs* We'll see next week

I'm convinced it has something to do with the Rainbow Pool. I'm practically going nuts trying to figure this out. I wish someone would give another hint. lol

i think that TDMNGPOP is a good start. both it and the meeting place are in faerieland, so it seems like a good chance that the answer starts with an o.

Newest Lenny Conundrum (and quite the one indeed!)
The Magical Blue Grundo of Prosperiety, as well as the Ogrins and Orange come off to a good start, but IF the neopians who gave small hints on the boards, they said it had something to do with the problem itself!
Read the problem carefully:

The first Pteri to return to their meeting spot had been changed to a Techo.
The second Pteri to arrive had changed to a Draik.
The third Pteri had changed to a Meerca.
The fourth had changed to Blumaroo.
The fifth Pteri had changed to a Gelert.
The sixth Pteri had gained a level!
And the eighth Pteri had gotten stronger!

I know what you are thinking: WE ALREADY READ IT!!! QUIT REPOSTING!!! But take a moment to think: why would the first 5 pteri's be changed into pets, the suddenly the 6th and 8th had not?

And if the 7th is not mentioned, why couldn't it be invisible? And another question, are we allowed to ask for help on the neoboards?
Anyways, I think we should take that into consideration.
Maybe I'm onto something here.

Aha! So he also stated NOT changed into. The Pteri didn't change into anything at all!

I only think. So don't go to me if its wrong. I'm sorry. Its just what I take off of the boards.

Write down the pets that the other pteris become and write down the name of the plushie. Look for a pattern.
I cannot tell you more. This is already a huge hint. Anything more would be cheating.

Even though she had more fish than she knew what to do with, she decided to go fishing again the next day. And she caught exactly 40% of what she caught the day before. Which was still a lot of fish.

She continued fishing every day. And every day she caught exactly 40% of what she caught the previous day.

If she continued fishing every day for twenty years, how many pounds of fish, total, would she catch? Please round to the nearest pound.
