Again, the answer is NOT invisible.

I'll give you an extra hint: the fact that the eight creatures are Pteris is important.

The answer, once you figure it out, is not as cringeworthy as "invisible" but still pretty cringeworthy.

Look this board does not belong to neopets and the people on it usually post the answer to help people. Most people on here bat their suggestions around until it's figured out. So if you THINK you know the answer post it so other people can check it out and decide for themselves.

People on the neopets boards say the answer is in the question and that it has to do with Faerieland.... but I don't get it yet myself. I'm having a brain freeze.

Yes I saw that, but they aren't making any since unless they are saying its faerie or something what else could the pteri change into that has to do with faerie land major headache

i put invisible since it makes the most sense and the fact that last week dealt with astro physics is a sign that they may put an easy one this week. also not to bag on bw but if all you are going to do is come here to give hints, then maybe you just need to keep walking.

I personally believe that the faerie stuff is to totally throw you off and to split the pack up into 2 groups. also there are alot of people around that are on the boards that are leading the LC Premium group that want to give everyone the wrong answer to only have them as the right ones. Kinda shows the bad side of Neopets again since the scamming flood of 2k4 but they gotta make their cheap np somewhere.

The invisible idea really makes the most sense, but after looking at the Rainbow Pool for Pteri colors, there is no invisible one.

Seeing as they are located in Faerieland, perhaps he changed color to Cloud? That would make him seem invisible since Faerieland is in the sky.

I may be wrong, but that's my best guess.

Actually knux, I don't really understand your reply. Why would you post if all you want is somebody to spoonfeed you an easy answer? I would imagine that part of the joy of doing an LC or any puzzle is being able to solve it on your own. There is no guarantee that anyone on this board or anywhere else
has to reveal the answer. Instead of being grateful that somebody is trying to help you get to the answer, so many of you just complain about not getting the answer outright.

I have noticed on this board that many posters are new - there aren't many veterans - and I am starting to understand why.

You can visit the Lab Ray once every day, and what happens is completely random. It can do any of the following things:

Change your pet's species.
Change your pet's color.
Change your pet's gender.
Raise or lower your pet's strength, agility, level, or defense.
Raise your pet's hit points.

Maybe he turned Malevolent Sentient Plushie (Poogle) and is taking part in the race?
Or maybe he didn't change at all and is ashamed

I've worked out the meaning of the question, but I'm not quite sure exactly how to put the answer. Decided just to put one word in the end.

Here are some clues for you:

The fact that they are Pteris can be ignored until you know what it's about.
Faerieland is important, so try the obvious things with that.
Nowhere in Faerieland is there a Techo, and a Draik, and etc., so there must be something else going on here.

Oh, nearly forgot to add: It's not invisible!

I've only ever seen it lower defence [they use the British spelling] and level. Strength, movement, and endurance always go up.

It also does nothing at all

Also FTR, a species change is ALWAYS to a basic colour [Red/Green/Blue/Yellow].
