Umm... it was a while ago, I think I put 3... (but some part of my mind is also telling me I put 9...) either way, I just know I got the 1617 nps!

New Riddle
Thursday March 17 2005:

Hannah and Armin were exploring the ice caves, when they turned a corner and ran into none other than the Snowager!

"Solve this puzzle," the Snowager hissed, "and I will let you pass."

The Snowager showed them 7 crystal blocks, with 7 letters chiseled onto each of them.

I have no idea. I keep staring at it.. and I'm severly dyslexic... so things like this never work out for me lol.

I thought maybe in the 6th block it says hurry... but i don't know why i think that... i mean i cant think of a logical explanation at the moment for it.

maybe since they are blocks... it's like a scramble thing.. where if you stack the 7 blocks up right it'll show the answer..... but that would be to easy and I don't see it working right now...

Stack the blocks on top of each other, start at the bottom at the 7th block 1st letter and go up to the 6th block 1st letter, etc., then do the same with the 2nd letters on each block...I won't spoil it for you, it's an easy question.

Let me assign numbers to the blocks.

1.SWNNMEN 2.ASEUUNE 3.WNLNNIV 4.TAOOMNE
5.AETCURS 6.HHHRYREY 7.WTENDBT

If you stack them in order of:
7.
6.
5.
4.
3.
2.
1.

You get the following:

W T E N D B T
H H R Y R E Y
A E T C U R S
T A O O M N E
W N L N N I V
A S E U U N E
S W N N M E N

Yes... it's sloppy... I know... But anyway, read down the columns and you'll read the following message:
WHAT WAS THE ANSWER TO LENNY CONUNDRUM NUMBER NINETY SEVEN

Look at that, 97 just makes the cut of being on the latest listing of Conundrums. So you click on that and read:

Quote:
Round: 97

In order to make an Abominable Snowball petpet, first you need some snow!

Dr. Sloth wanted his own Abominable Snowball, but unfortunately, ...

... how many Grundos are required to build three Abominable Snowballs?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Answer: 258 Grundos

So there's your answer to LC #109: 258 Grundos.

Is the sixth block supposed to be "HHHRYEY", or is it maybe "HHRYREY"? If the latter, then the blocks, stacked sideways from seventh to first, read:

Code:WHATWAS
THEANSW
ERTOLEN
NYCONUN
DRUMNUM
BERNINE
TYSEVEN

How Do You Type The Answer To The Riddle?
When typing

WHATWAS
THEANSW
ERTOLEN
NYCONUN
DRUMNUM
BERNINE
TYSEVEN

, do you have to type it like this: WHATWASTHEANSWERTOLENNYCONUNDRUMNUMBERNINETYSEVEN thus, with no spaces? OR do you have to type it like the answer I posted before? Thanks! Very Happy

A Gelert farmer owns a small farm just outside Meridell where he grows berries. His plot of land is a rather odd shape... it's in the shape of two overlapping squares, one at a 59-degree angle to the other. The larger of the two squares is 180 meters on a side, and the smaller of the two is 162 meters on a side. The corner point of the larger square is at the center point of the smaller square.

http://images.neopets.com/games/conundrum/110_squares.gif

Since it's springtime, it's time for the farmer to start planting berries! So, in the area of his field that is only within the larger square, he's planting Jumbleberries, which take 3 minutes per square meter to plant. The area of the field that is only within the smaller square will be planted with Red Chiaberries, which take 4 minutes per square meter to plant. Finally, in the area where the two overlap, he's planting Voidberries, which take 5 minutes per square meter to plant.

The Gelert farmer wants to have his entire field planted in three days. Assuming each person can work up to 8 hours a day, how many people would be required to do so? Round up to the nearest whole number.

i dont know if the pic will show up, but anyway - i dont have a CLUE how to do this one.. but i figured id just post it here for anyone whos looking. anyone have any ideas?

Edit: Re-read the problem: they don't want you to just "round", but "round up". Sorry.
