can anyone tell me how to find an adopted sibling if her name was changed atthe time of adoption? can i request adoption papers? i'm in canada so i don't know if the US laws are different
Do you know the name of the Adoption Agency?
I think adoption laws vary state by state, but in some states if your missing sibling wants to be found, she can register that she is looking.
no i don't my mother told me she handed her to a child services worker and said keep her... that's all i know
Do you know what state she was born in?
Where I live, in Oregon, all adoption records have been opened and anyone can access them. There might be other states in the US with similar laws.
she's in canada...as far as i know all papers are locked away.
