Your b/f is in the military yes/no? If he is in the military or a military contractor he can use the military's "home use" program that they've setup with Microsoft. He can get a complete copy of MS Office for $19.
Microsoft used to have an application called "PowerPoint Viewer" that you could download for free and view PowerPoint slides. Not sure if it's been updated since it was released though. The last version I used was for Office 97. You might want to check their WWW site.

yes, he is. Sounds like a great option once he gets home.

It worked! Thanks! Now I'm in tears because it contained pics of him (first I've seen) in Iraq.
Now if I can figure out how to save it. The "save as" button won't work.
