Hope

Home is where the hurt is,
but I can't think of one other place to go.
I would be happy just to be left alone,
but even I need company sometimes.

The person I love is the person I hate,
and I don't even understand how that is.
All I know is everything is such a mess,
but i'm assured this is how it's s'pose to be.

It seems not so bad when I dream,
and I think everything will work out in time.
I guess that's what keeps me going,
the hope that this will all be behind me.
