If it were never for dreams, whether awake or asleep
We would never know hope - an intangible to keep.

Some say hopes are not real - desires bent on ashes.
Some say dreams are so real - here is where this myth clashes.

A hope is a sure thing, needing one-step to be real.
Both demi-saints & despots are aware of this appeal.

With selfish desires and a cunning clever word
Destroy millions of souls - history wrote by what it has heard.

If hopes and dreams are ashes of fools,
Remember Phoenix used these same tools.

What right has a foul mouth to quash that not yet begun?
"First-step" courage, known not - but needles as a substitute gun.

To the hopeful wise and the wakened dreamer's draw,
Going one-step beyond courage is their strong, unwritten law.

With sarcasm's stench, lives or nations cannot breathe.
Sarcasm is as a language without profit to relieve.

Hopes and dreams, on life's other hand
As said, "Is Eternal" - that which scoffers cannot stand.

So hope beyond hope, thou low grieving soul,
An eternal desire simply has no toll.

The cost of hope fading is a deep no-end pit.
Why pay for nothing only because you quit?

And dream on wakened dreamers, the stars wait for you above.
