A Confession
(A Vision Interpreted)
I once had a vision - one among many - that told me of me.
I share it with you - your choice, to judge me.
I had no desire for it, as happened it did,
Opening my life's treasure chest, here is the lid:
Surrounding a holy darkness, with what you may find odd,
Was, "666" and "Jesus, Oh God."
Now please don't run to get your gun,
Or the men in white coats - (this is said for fun.)
The vision is not dangerous, of that I can assure,
For much has been said, with my life, you can be sure.
Prior to my search for God, "666" was dreaded.
EARTHLY PERSUADED is what IT abetted.
To serve God or mammon, is the choice of "666" -
Setting heart, soul and body, is one's own fix.
Your choice is your own, I will not trespass
Your freedom to choose - that will never pass.
I chose God, and was rewarded with,
"Jesus, Oh God" - a label - a gift.
Why are there BOTH in my vision you ask?
Singularly serving God AND man - that is my task.
For as it is written, I once "was" a creature,
Romans 9: 20 - 21 - wherein is this feature.
Now before you panic, (and I do NOT at this time, "fun" -)
Isaiah 44: 5 bears witness - my vision - in the name of the Son.
Neither asking nor desiring, all is in God's hands,
He who IS - in my heart - stands.
I cannot disavow my vision, as I cannot disavow your life,
But giving all to all, is but one man's strife.
It is all God's glory, I ask for none.
Are not His workings more powerful than a gun?
Fools come and abound in all shapes and sizes.
I am proud to be God's fool. Is not life all full of surprises?
Yup.
Peace be with you
