As Above - So Below


For those who would regard to seek a higher power
It can be done, you know, within this selfsame hour.

The higher one wishes to know that which is above,
The lower in one's soul is called for - humility in love.

As in the highest realm of life there is called, "A living higher power"
Is with the lowest of the low, NOT from an ivory tower.

The more one lowers the self in regard to the power on high,
The more that power guides the soul, with your actions not telling lies.

No one can start from where they are and proceed from thence
For retreating to less than your-self, and from there - is no pretense.

Faced with yourself, all by yourself, with only courage as a shield,
All past lives and all past sins, one-by-one do yield.

For that which you may regard as that above your own reaching,
Is within yourself and with whom to you, is ever-loving teaching.

Slowly but surely, but not to the faint of heart,
You will find your courage to the "path" that is your start.

From thence and ever outward, with love your truest guide,
Will lead you to that above, and never leave your side.

So as above, is so below, but first one must be content
To start within your lowest self - this is what is meant.

Oh sure these words are strange, but for the courageous few
Eternal life, joy, peace and merriness are waiting just for you.

So if you really want to shine like a diamond in the sky,
Your personal furnace of affliction waits for you - of that I do not lie.

For every courageous soul to seek the one that is above,
Starting low and within, is rewarded with eternal love.

Regarding that of which to do, may indeed sound quite rough,
But just remember, my child - you are - RIGHT NOW - just diamond in the rough.
