I Believe in Romance



I believe in romance, for it fills the heart with hope.
So what if everyone thinks I am just a dope?!

Horizons open as far and wide as the heart can see,
Beyond hate and ignorance - OH … the possibilities!

Some say love is a two-way street,
All I know of that is - it begins with my heartbeat.

The scenes along this road of love and life reflect a harmony,
With boastful joy I say with pride, "It began with me!"

Jungles of despair come and go as a frightful dream,
But love sustains a happy soul. So Jungles? Not what they seem!

A jungle of hatred is a lack of love, can you not see?
So all it needs is YOUR love to shine, through the darkest trees.

Added sunshine to another's, is the secret hope of love,
To reflect what is real in life, stemming from above.

A joyous morn romance would bring to every earthly soul,
And it doesn't cost a cent, no bill, and certainly, no toll.
