leftover pieces from internet

HI Was just wondering what would cause a piece of a website to stay on the computer once you have exited off the internet. It's usually off of a game site or even the moving strip off of the lottery site (one that shows announcements running across the screen). When I exit out of the internet, all the sudden a "piece" of one of those sites will appear on my Windows screen. Only way I can get rid of it is to enter the internet again and exit again. I never used to have this trouble. I have Adaware and all that. Windows2000Pro and Microsoft Internet Explorer is what I run on.
This problem started a few weeks ago or more. Any ideas on what is causing it????

To explain better, if you visit a lottery site like---mdlottery.com they have a "ticker tape" style bar going across the site. Well my computer shows this bar as being empty or blank, then when i exit off the internet i am left with what was actually in the bar. Am wondering why this is happening now. Months ago I could see the writing going across but not now.
