Hey... I was wondering what this meant... rt170.bpl?

I have a message come up every time I log on to my computer.
It says - cannot find import DLL maya be missing, corrupt, or wrong version file "rt170.bpl"
what can I do?
When i start my computer that is...everytime i start it...

I believe that .bpl is a type of file extension,
Have you Added or removed any software programs recently ?

".bpl" is a file extension that is used by AutoCAD. It sounds like you have a file for Rt 170 on your system that is incompatible with your current version of AutoCAD.

Hmmm.. Apparently .bpl files are also used by MediaJukebox and Winamp3 too. Do you have any of these on your system?

Yes, I have winamp and yes i believe I have deleted MediaJukebox... What Can I do in order to get rid of it? Would I be willing to install it back up?


P.S. What is AutoCad?

Hmmm.. You could do a registry serach for "rt170.bpl" and remove the references to it. (If you don't know what you are doing in the Registry don't go playing in it. Find someone that knows what they are doing.)

AutoCAD is what designers/engineers use to draw up designs for just about everything - cars, houses, widgets, - you name it.

What about Installing the programs again? Maybe I deleted the program incorrectly?

I wonder if that would have given me this problem...

If you can't find the registry then DON'T even try to play in it. You can very easily make your entire system unsable if you make a mistake.

Try reinstalling the apps and using the unistall routine that comes with them to remove them and see if that clears things up for you.
