In the Middle of Time A Reflection of the Moment
Gargantuan eternity stares me in the face.
In a valley or atop a mountain - it's all the same place.
In town after city, beyond the ocean and desert,
True love is that, which does not assert.
Questions examined, desiring an end.
Gentle answers provided, truth of itself that cannot bend.
Peace within and throughout, what more could one ask?
Follow through to the end, enjoying the "task."
Men on one side, women on the other,
Fearful to be a sister and brother.
Alone is not loneliness and loneliness is beset
By the present future, that daily, I get.
The past is pure knowledge, understanding complete.
My body suffered and scarred, yet I stand on my own feet.
No man is my master, no woman my captor,
I stand in the middle of desired rapture.
The past to my left, the future to my right,
Evil behind me, my soul is pure light.
What lies ahead is only the beginning,
Of a life given to God - in the middle of time -
All mine for the winning.
I have enjoyed reading these capsules of thought, truemale.
Within your writing, one can truly sense that you're thinking-- that is to say, deep, probing thought.
I like the way you put words together... quite a talent-- even if I am not in total agreement. Keep it up.
Thank you, theolady...
What I have written on my personal introductory cards would seem appropriate about now...
"HOW I write is for ME...
WHAT I write is for YOU."
Peace be with you
