The Assaults of the Devil
Here in this soul in & of God - Peace is the King.
Freedom from heavy thoughts - no worries it brings.
Love is as natural as service belongs,
With one's desire for freedom, ever as strong.
Traversing anywhere, Peace comes
with None between God and I - this is a gift.
Very infrequently, as I have known,
An interfering Devil's assault is shown;
With evil thought, and temptations too
Hoping to foul my soul from God - it is true!
Even though defeated devils are certain,
Never missing their chance, the mind is a curtain;
Shadowed with half-truths, they try to trip
A soul of God's - to loose one's grip.
Found in and of God, are the words of a saint,
That casts out evil, if one does not faint.
Repeated over and over, it is not a game,
To cast out devils with power of Jesus' name.
Name devils by name - that of "Satan" -
All his aligned, they all are taken.
Then "
in the name of Jesus," assumed,
"I cast you to hell, forever, never to return!", - there, evil is doomed.
Repeated as often as it should be,
?'Til Peace returns within, as it should be.
No harm done to body or soul,
Not adding me to their toll.
Is this a "mind game" or a mental disease?
Your interpretation is as you please.
I do not convince you nor do I convince me,
It is as it is, to be truly free.
So you want the solution ending evil, you say?
Start with YOURSELF and unceasingly pray...
Very nice Christian poem!
