Love, Joy, Humor and God
It must have been the morning
I rolled out of bed;
I saw you smile and set my day on an upward wind.
You gave my day a happy start, so problems seemingly
Insurmountable are nothing more than a noisy dim.
HA ! but your musical soul puts a smile on my face -
"What, me worry?" NOT A TRACE !
Your humor tickles me; of that there is no doubt;
Your love is so generous I have no time to pout !
It's not fair I alone have all this joy,
Why do not others seek you God, so their life they could enjoy?
I have no time for a downcast soul or tears,
Your presence erases all jeers and sneers.
You just told me what you're thinking, Lord
I love it so, with nothing left out -
"Hey Father - did you hear the one about . . .?"
