A man lives on the twentieth floor of an apartment building and takes the elevator all the way down to go to work everyday. On his way back, he takes the elevator only half the way, and walks the rest of the way, except when it is raining. When it's raining he takes the elevator all the way up, why?
He's a 'person of restricted growth'.....and can only reach to press 'up' to a certain floor, when it rains........he has his umbrella with him, and can use it to 'reach' the 20th?
I heard that riddle when I was five, it's still a good one.

You look a lot younger than me Joe, and I heard that one when I was five, it must have been around since Francis Drake was a lad
Yes, you all are correct.
Or since Otis invented the elevator....
Why doesn't he carry a cane all the time? Or does he want the exercise on dry days?

Apparently not only is he small in stature he is also small on brainpower, he hasn't worked out yet that taking an umbrella every day means he can ride the elevator home.
He is what we refer to in Lancashire as a midget brain.
Don 1, I'm still smarting over you Blur/Oasis tirade
Sorry Sarah, would you prefer it if I said that oasis were the most talented band in the history of music?
Knowing full well that I dont mean it.
We all have opinions on who is great in music and who isnt, where I'm from we say it as we see it, it usually isn't popular but it's honest.
Example, I wouldn't have an Elvis Presley record given.
That should get a few blood pressures up, but it's how I feel about that particular entertainer.
An insult to Elvis?
Sarah, hold my coat....
Joe (I'll have a Blue Christmas without you) Nation
hes really short he cant reach the 20th floor button other people ride the elevator when its raining so they can press the button for him
