I bid you bye
with tender words
purely flowing as the creek, sailing towards the river's end
departing simply in everlasting freedom to the winding sea
swift currents rise, seized in final moments
gathering gentle tides as they are swept away, seeking another point in time
wave upon wave
capturing a distant path
Dismal clouds drift uncertainly, wrapped in silence
persistently sheltering the sun
until
the feather touch of your hand upon my shoulder
is felt only within my minds eye
comforting warmth is the reflection of your smile
as tranquil dreams envision you within reach
I will forever remember you
As flowing time caresses all existence
As parched flowers stretch in song, rejoicing treasured rain
As wistful prisms stir all the dimensions of life
Your voice whispers softly inside my heart
foretelling a fortune of promise that
perhaps in another place in time,
we will meet once more
THAT is beautiful colorbook.
Words, mind,
deeds like diamonds
cutting glass
like a jackknife
through flesh
happy
for the
intrusion
Is that for kellyvinal?
Seriously, beautiful poetry, colorbook!
Thank you Cav and Brand X; this was inspired by my brother who died three years ago.
It's stunning, colorbook.
colorbook, you are indeed a beautiful writer, prose or poetry. I sensed your gentle remembrance of both your brother; my brother and dear Kelly. My brother was a soldier as is Kelly. I am so glad you got to know your brother, colorbook. I never got to know mine. That is some comfort in your melancholy.
Thank you Letty, my brother was also my friend; I'm sorry to hear that you never got to know your brother
Thanks again Cav, I value critiques from you and Letty
Good writing, colorbook. It also reminds me of my brother, who was killed in 1969.
Thank you edgar; I'm sorry about your brother.
