Climbing Mt. Monadnock is a rite of passage for the young of my home town. We climbed it carrying these big canvas tents (this is 1961) intending to set up, eat a little lunch and come back down, but the counselors neglected to check with the official WIND predictions for the day and we about had three kids get blown off the trail like little green boy scout kites.

Well, I just got back from meeting Joe Nation for the first time. Very interesting guy. I can see why he's banged half the women in the tri-state area.
By the way, did you all know that he has a glass eye? You can't see it in the avatar. I didn't know it either, until he decided to bet these women at the bar that he could lick his own eyeball. The minute they agreed, he just popped it out, rolled it around in his mouth for a few moments, then spit it back out into his empty Scotch glass.
Yes, it was pretty gross, but it got us free drinks! Three cheers to Joe and his glass eye!
