The Flowers in my Heart
When you said you would love me forever joy made my heart cry.
When you said you were mine forever you made my soul fly.
I'm not rich with money in my hand
And I can't give the world to you in a golden cart
What I have to give, never wilting and will stand,
The wonder of my love for you - The Flowers in my Heart.
When you love me, all my dreams come true
A lifelong search ending and life beginning anew
Love's afterglow is so gentle on moments so quiet,
Spent with you, my love, no amount of money can buy it.
Daisies picked and put in a vase wilts far too soon
And roses don't even last until the next moon.
The sweetness of you is the aroma in my heart
It cannot be other than Flowers in my Heart.
You planted them and made them grow there
If for no other reason that for me, you care.
Now my life blossoms with your loving jewel
These I give back to you, hills & meadows full!
All I have to give will never fall apart
Nothing less than love for you with The Flowers in my Heart !
You're quite welcome.
Hope your weekend is getting along just fine...

I really enjoyed this. It's very open and honest, and true to the heart, as is all your writing.
Another powerful piece, TM. Raw and unprocessed.
Even me the pessimist enjoyed it immensely!
Thank you one and all.
Peace be with each of you.

Lovely. An eternal theme with a fresh approach.
To be loved like that ... well it's what we all yearn for.
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your kind comments, dupre.
Peace be with you.
