Folders panel keeps popping up when i open My Computer

View > Explorer Bar > Folders

yes well closing it once isn't the problem making sure it stays closed afterwards is the issue i'm trying to deal with

Tools > Folder Options > View > Remember Each Folder's View Settings

no it's not that neither i've checked the folder options quite a few times and it just seems to do that regardless. who knows it could even be something due to a driver. another odd problem is when i double click on one of the local disks in My Computer then it pops up My Documents, but if i enter c:\ d:\ etc. in the address bar it reaches them normally, basically My Computer is acting up in a couple of ways as of the past month or so
