Er...it is a classic American modest and shy response to a sweet comment.

"Middlesex" is ready and waiting at the library, and I think I'm gonna go pick it up and read it regardless.

I'll go with ANYTHING, though.

And this reminds me, Hazlitt had an excellent idea for an ongoing short-story discussion that I said I would start... I am not sure I'll have time yet tonight, but will do it tomorrow.

We are a wee crew - but let's go with it, since we have little input.

Middlesex for me!

Sorry guys I just could not get into Fury at all and it had a couple of competing books. However, have ordered Middlelesex and promise to do better this month. The fact is I am a bit more because of a supreme effort organized than last month. So will put my mind to this and get it done.

Well, I finally got around to opening the amazon package containing Middlesex. And with deep regert I announce that right now I am unable to read this book. It is far too bulky to be read on the train (where I do majority of my reading), when you are being crushed around by humanity. So it has been relegated to my bookshelf for the time being - to be read when I am travelling (as it is far easier to read on a plane, than on a London train during rush hour)

Have started reading Shining Hero another modern Indian fiction and am loving it so far !
