Anyone running one of these yet? If so, which MB did you choose to go with and what kind of performance are you getting?
Dual Opteron 244s on a Tyan K8W with 4GB of PC2700
and a PNY QuadroFX3000
in other words a workstation
specifically for animation and DV
more to the point would be
what is your typical application?
Athlon64's are very popular with gamers
not that there are 64bit aps available yet
my kid got an athlon mobile something to over-clock
has a gig of ram
250 gig hd
and a spendy videocard
gaming rocks his boat
