Just something I wrote recently while I was sitting around feeling sorry for myself.
Companions
Here we are once again my friend
Riding this trail we know so well
A path we're destined to follow
Together into the jaws of hell
We parted ways some time ago
Not expecting our paths to cross
Yet you found your way to my side
When you heard of my recent loss
It's comfortable with you near
We've travelled so far together
Through the good times and the bad
We've endured all kinds of weather
Like two wolves mated for life
We roam together in the dark
A blessed union of kindred souls
Misery and I, till death do us part
This is a most inspiring piece with no hint of self-pity. Very enjoyable, indeed!
Thanks Kelly, your replies are always anticipated and appreciated.

How's is going, eh? Umm Rush rules!
it goes well, ty, Rush was good, but I'm more of a Blue Rodeo fan myself.
