In the Flinders it would be most unusual - sometimes snow falls in the Adelaide hills - but again very rarely - however, in parts of the Great Dividing range, or Australian alps, snow is good enough for a thriving ski-ing industry.

Geeze, snow in the Antipodes looks just like snow in the Podes. What kinda trees are those?

Do you have childhood memories of snow, Miss Wabbit? How 'bout you, Miss Olga?

Not I - the only time I was ever in decent snow - in the Adelaide hills - I was working - and driving a government vehicle, and had lots of appointments packed in - man, I wanted to stop and play!!!!

It was funny - for a hot state girl, to drive for hours in rain, hail, snow and sleet - all in one day!

grr, I applied for the SA police 6 months ago and got knocked back due to lack of education, as I dropped 2 subjects in year 12. But I still aced all my other subjects. So I get shot down and now they're bringin in bobbies? Mad

If they need officers they should just give everyone who applies a gun and hat and get em out there! Razz

Sorry j/k, just venting my frustration, hehe.

Don't vent, prepare yourself better. The issue with police from the UK is that there is a shortage of police in SA at the moment and those people are experienced police officers who will be able to perform competently as a police officer very shortly after they finish their course. Most recruits without previous police experience take a couple of years before they're competent so this is a bit of lateral thinking to fast track mucn needed personnel.

Understand that this isn't an either-or, normal recruiting is still happening so fix the gaps and apply again and good luck in your efforts.

I couldn't agree more, I've always valued keeping the peace, protecting people and their property and providing services above good old lawnorder  Lawnorder is a con.
