Can a Sony Z SPG351 with android 4.3 be upgraded?

I have a Sony SPG351 Z tablet with android 4.3. When I go to "software updates" on the tablet it says eveything is currently up to date. Yet when I search Google I see indications that the SPG351 can be updated beyond 4.3. Is the information provided on the tablet itself always the final word?
