I'm an Unwilling Part in an Unknown Group Text

For the past several weeks, I've found my number on a weird (likely office or retail) work group chat. #spoilers It ain't my workplace. I think an employee gave a random number that happened to be me or someone typoed another employee's number that happened to be mine.

For the most part, I ignored it. Tried to send it to the spam folder but it remains active. Mostly, it's not too active until it is and a burst of activity. What pisses me off is I can block individual numbers quite easily. But since this is a group chat? Blocking is literally missing from my choices. There is no immediate access to report this issue.

What would you suggest? Keep in mind, if its an elaborate phishing or spam if I respond and the other has malicious intent? That might indicate I'm a live target. Or is it too late for that? If I actively respond and try to get my number off of this group, what are my options if the whole thing turns phishing level bad?
