If you ever went out of my life, life would go out of me.
Temptations, strong as they are, for but a time, around us be.

When you said, "I love you" it meant more to me than you know, love.
You had more faith in your love for me than all the stars above.

The strength of your love enabled me through the hottest hell-fire.
Even when I didn't think of you at those times, you did not tire.

When I came back to you, dragging my foolish pride behind me
Crying for joy, holding me tight, what more proof of love be?

Now peace, joy and love is not only for real - it is mine!
