I just received the following message from eTrust EZ Antivirus:
eTrust EZ Antivirus real-time protection has found that c:\Documents and Settings\Marie Krausz\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\09VMLV5E\checker[1].htm is HTML.MHTMLRedir.exploit trojan
Does this mean I have a trojan/ Or does it mean that the trojan has been turned away? or what? And what can I do?
Right-click Internet Explorer, Properties and click Delete Files.
Check Delete All Offline Content and then press OK.
Then click Delete Cookies and press OK
Re-scan your PC and it should be clean.
Are you updating your PC?
Thanks a million, Cyanure. I followed your instructions and everything seems ok now.
P.S. Actually, after I posted my cry fr help I did my weekly scan and found three more Redirect trojeans! But all are gone now.
