Just got an email from amozon that I'll get my ordered dvd's tomorrow.

And I've ordered dvd's with all aired episodes of the German rock series Beat-Club. (That show was broadcasted from September 1965 through December 1972.)

Beat Club started (in black and white) on September 25, 1965 with Yankees (a local band from Bremen)/ Liverbirds / John O'Hara & his Playboys and the final show had as guests The Osmonds.

On the first show John O'Hara & his Playboys ( a Scottish band)performed "Wolly Bully" (already played here on WA2K some time ago), while audience members demonstrate a dance called "The Memphis" (remember that?).

Couldn't find "peanut butter by the Liverbirds online (it starts Peanut butter Peanut, Peanut butter Yeah, I like peanut butter, you like peanut
butter, we like peanut butter too
)

I wonder, if it's here in the archives.

detano, Any Hoagy song will keep us young. Although his Stardust has been over done, the verse is the most beautiful part of the entire melody.

Hey, Raggedy. I predicted that you would show us Fernando's picture, his being a Latin Lover and you being a hopeless romantic. <smile>

Walter, I can just picture you dancing to The Wolly Bully.(I did) I do know one thing, I need to fix myself a peanut butter sandwich for the protein. <smile> I'll search for it, Germany.

Hey, listeners. We have most of Europe here, let's dance, shall we?

Back later, after a thorough search for some peanut butter. Razz

If you can't find peanut butter you can always use coconut milk.

Now then Letty, cop your old minces on this little favorite from across the pond

My Old Dutch(Albert Chevalier)

I've got a pal,
A reg'lar out-and-outer,
She's a dear old gal,
Now I'll tell you all about 'er.
It's many years since fust we met,
'Er 'air was then as black as jet.
It's whiter now, but she don't fret,
Not my old gal!

Chorus:

We've lived together now for forty years,
An' it don't seem a day too much;
There ain't a lady livin' in the land,
As I'd swap for my dear old dutch.
No, there ain't a lady livin' in the land,
As I'd swap for my dear old dutch.

I calls her Sal;
Her proper name is Sarah;
And you may find a gal
As you'd consider fairer.
She ain't an angel - she can start
A jawing till it makes yer smart.
She's just a woman, bless her heart,
Is my old gal

Chorus:

Sweet fine old gal,
For worlds I wouldn't loose 'er,
She's a dear good old gal,
An' that's what made me choose 'er,
She's stuck to me through thick and thin,
When luck was out, when luck was in,
Ah! what a wife to me she's been,
An' wot a pal.

Chorus:

I sees yer Sal,
Yer pretty ribbons sportin.
It's many years, old gal,
Since them young days of courtin'.
I ain't a coward, still I trust
When we've to part, as part we must,
That death may come and take me first
To wait my gal.

Chorus:

Well, there's another Brit, listeners. What a sweet and tender song, London. Thanks for reminding us that we'll all be rockin' one day.<smile>

Now before I forget, folks. This is for our Raggedy:

Sorry, Walter. I could not find ONE song about peanut butter.

You know listeners, Lord Ellpus hasn't been with us in a bit, and I noticed that he likes women who wiggle, so how about this one for him.

THE BIG BOPPER lyrics - "Chantilly Lace"

Hello baby, yeah, this is the Big Bopper speaking
Oh you sweet thing
Do I what
Will I what
Oh baby you know what I like

[Chorus:]
Chantilly lace and a pretty face
And a pony tail hanging down
That wiggle in the walk and giggle in the talk
Makes the world go round

There ain't nothing in the world like a big eyed girl
That makes me act so funny, make me spend my money
Make me feel real loose like a long necked goose
Like a girl, oh baby that's what I like

What's that baby
But, but, but, oh honey
But, oh baby you know what I like

[Chorus]

What's that honey
Pick you up at 8 and don't be late
But baby I ain't got no money honey
Oh alright baby you know what I like

[Chorus]

My goodness, Francis. That is a rockin' song, and with peanut butter, yet. Unfortunately, it was not the one our German was in search of.

So, our Francis is feeling sexy. Look out ladies. Nothing can stop a Frenchman when he's on the prowl.<smile>

and from Lionel Richie:

Chorus:
She's a brick----house
Mighty might just lettin' it all hang out
She's a brick----house
The lady's stacked and that's a fact,
Ain't holding nothing back.

She's a brick----house
She's the one, the only one,
Who's built like a amazon [pronounced am-a-ka-zawn]
We're together everybody knows,
And here's how the story goes.

she knows she got everything
A woman needs to get a man, yeah.
How can she lose with what she use
36-24-36, what a winning hand!

Chorus
the clothes she wears, the sexy ways,
Make an old man wish for younger days
She knows she's built and knows how to please
Sure enough to knock a man to his knees

I can't see your picture, Letty. Did you post the "first of the red hot Lamas"? All I see is a little box with a red x.

Oh, dear, listeners. I can't believe that the red hot llamas are hidden so easily. Well, PA, it was supposed to be Fernando.

Will try again later, gal.

here's a 2 real blasts from the past. Both a veritable golden oldy

Quot viae quae homo peragranda,
Donec grandem anima fit.
Sic, et quot maria columba velanda
Donec quiescit acta,
Sic et quot sagitt'ab arcibus volanda,
Ante pac'aeternam fore?

Chorus:
Respons'amici,
Se dedit flamini,
Responsum se dedit flamini.

Quoties homo videret alte
Ante disceret caeli?
Sic, et quoties homo audiret bene,
Ante disceret fleti?
Sic, et quoties hom'alium necaret
Ante disceremus vitae?

Chorus

Quamdiu montes possent durare
Donec ventus defricaret?
Sic, et quamdiu homo potest durare
Donec sum coron'obiret?
Sic, et quamdiu homo se advertitur
Et dissimulat non videre?

Chorus

and next ___________________

Ha, sarcinos composui.
Pro limina iam dubito
T'expergefacere
Mod'ut loquar.
Atqui commutation' aestu,
Me' oneraria vela
Ad Africum donabit denuo.

Chorus:
Ergo, me basia.
Me, dum absim, exspecta.
M'amplexa quasi coerceres.
Abeo, cursu longo.
Nescio quando reddibo,
Et nolo iam ire.

Et scortus sum saepissime.
Adulteravi saepe.
Scienda iam est nihil hoc ad rem.
Mens commorabitur in te,
Et ubicumqu'eam hoc eris.
Cum reddebo, pro gaudio canam.

Chorus

Tace, puella, non defle.
Ultimum basium dona.
Oportet me surger'ireque.
Felicem die'exspecta
Quando non ibo denuo,
Et nunquam rursum audiebis haec:

Chorus

Well, John. Amazing. Yes, listeners, now I recognize, "...the answer my friend, is blowing in the wind...."

McTag, you handsome Scotsman. Latin is the mother of the romance languages, and Walter is Teutonic.

Boy, McTag, does Walter EVER know stuff.

Come on, Manchester, play us a tune on those bagpipes, and it better not be Amazing Grace.

Folks, do you think bagpipes have a "...sweet sound..."?
