@eurocelticyankee,
Welcome back, my Irish friend. Thanks for your comment on Goldie. Liked your Irish laugh as well. You missed our poem, euroGeorge.

That Japanese version of Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence was fantastic, and here is the trailer. (love David Bowie)

Good morning from our Florida radio station in Florida.

izz with a y, liked both of your quotes from Shakespeare, buddy.

Welcome back, Olivier 5. You've been missed here. Loved both of those songs that blamed it on the girls, guys, and others. Didn't know Mika so thanks for the introduction.

"don't blame me for falling in love with you; I'm under you spell, so how can I help it, don't blame me. " Blame that on my youth". Razz

Today is Hoagy Carmichael's birthday and he was a fantastic composer. He did Skylark, and I thought that I would do a version of it for our listeners.

First, an explanation of Saturday.

Saturday: the only day of the week to retain its Roman origin in English, named after the Roman god Saturn associated with the Titan Cronus, father of Zeus and many Olympians.

First, Diana Reeves:

Now, the trailer from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

That movie is the first fantastic version of Skylark that I ever heard.

Hi Kelly and all. Sorry for the silence.

Mika is a Lebanese-British artist who's pretty hot globally right now, quite creative and very gay, youthful to the point of being childish. Sings in English and French, currently a 'judge' in the French version of 'The Voice'. Composed and produced his first tracks on a computer, all by himself, which makes for simplistic muzac but he lines it up with sweet-sour funny lyrics and a nice personality so i am a reluctant fan but a fan nevertheless. Much potential.

Mark, I had no idea that Hoagy did Georgia. I remember it best by Ray Charles.

Olivier 5, My favorite by your Mika was Boum, Boum,Boum. The visuals really told a story. I think I knew most of those legends, buddy.

Remembering happier times now. The Lettermen were inspired by The Four Freshmen and my late husband introduced them to me.

Just a memory jog from Letty. We got rid of the rating system because it didn't match the format of our radio. We agreed to acknowledge and comment on the songs played here.

Mark, I liked that version of Vincent's Starry, Starry, Night.

Anyone remember Lost Horizon?

Lost Horizon is a 1933 novel by English writer James Hilton. The book was turned into a movie, also called Lost Horizon, in 1937 by director Frank Capra. It is best remembered as the origin of Shangri-La, a fictional utopian lamasery high in the mountains of Tibet.

Once again, The Lettermen:
