Hey, Texas, I like that version by Jimmie. The melody is exactly as I recall it.

Here is some info on that great singer:

"Honeycomb" is a popular song written by Bob Merrill in 1954. The best-selling version was recorded by Jimmie Rodgers and charted at number one on the Billboard Top 100 in 1957.Honeycomb" also reached number one on the R&B Best Sellers chart and number seven on the Country & Western Best Sellers in Stores chart.The song is referenced in the McGuire Sisters hit song "Sugartime", when the soloist sings the line: "Just be my "Honeycomb" which is echoed by the other sisters and the male chorus.

Now, a birthday man and some info on him:

Alexander O'Neal (born November 15, 1953) is an American R&B singer. He is best known for the songs "If You Were Here Tonight", "Criticize" and "Fake" and the duets with Cherrelle, "Saturday Love" and "Never Knew Love Like This".

Now, his song:

@Letty,
You need to listen to this, Letty. A truly amazing version of a song by Alicia Keys. The singer is a teenage boy competing on China's version of The Voice.

Good SUN Day from our Florida radio station.

Gurda, welcome back and I love that Chinese song by Zhang Xin.

Hey, izz with a y. As you know my favorite by Shakespeare was MacBeth, but Richard Burton did a wonderful job doing Hamlet. Thanks for both quotes, Brit.

More synchronicity, because is the lovely Canadian's birthday and here she is doing a wonderful tribute.

Love Dino doing Houston, Texas. More ethnicity, because today is this guy's birthday. First some info.

Japanese designer of such classic Nintendo video games as Mario, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, and Star Fox. He helped develop the Wii console and was one of the creators of Wii Sports.

This isn't the tribute that I would have chosen, but it will have to do:

Ah, edgar, Loved that one by Perry. As I once noted, if I could compare any poet and vocalist it would be him and Robert Browning.

A brief note from Browning's Pied Piper of Hamilin.

When, lo! as they reached the mountain-side,
A wondrous portal opened wide,
As if a cavern was suddenly hollowed;
And the Piper advanced and the children followed,
And when all were in to the very last,
The door in the mountain-side shut fast.
Robert Browning, The Pied Piper of Hamelin: A Child’s Story

to me, it meant to pay what we owe
