I was helping my dad move from Hobart indiana to Oxnard Califoria. I flew
out Chicago and he picked me up at the airport. We took turns driving his
humongous Chrysler New Yorker down to Oklahoma and across the
Southwest. One of our stops was to be a Holiday Inn in Amarillo, but Dad
missed the exit. If Dad missed an exit, it stayed missed. We wound up in
a cruddy motel in a jerkwater town called Vega Texas. (My apologies if
any Vegans are reading this, but dayum!)
