@vonny,
On Pointless a while back there was a question where Cream was the answer. Richard Osman said that such were the egos in that band that Eric Clapton once decided to stop playing to see what would happen. Bruce and Baker didn't notice and kept on playing.

Today's quotation.
Let all the number of the stars give light
To thy fair way.

Anthony And Cleopatra Act III Sc I.

And it's Beryl Hobgen's birthday.

Hope y'all liked Peter Frampton.

Latin George, I Can Almost Believe and Jerri's Dracula were great.

Izz with a y. loved that quote from Anthony and Cleo

Olivier 5, Loved The Prayer in French and English. Thanks, mon ami.

Hope I didn't miss any contributions. I didn't feel well in the early morning.

Two songs for today. First a birthday guy that I really like.

Now, for some reason, I was awakened with this guy stuck in my head.

Once again calling all musicians, painters, poets and music lovers.

Inspire by our Brit, a funny one.

Incidentally, Peter Frampton was a member of Vonny's group.

and, y'all, a funny poem for today:

Could Be Halloween

Yowling, prowling, growling cat
Why do you switch your tail like that?
Why do your eyes flash gold and green?
Could be--must be--Halloween!

Slinky, inky, blinky cat,
Why do you arch your back like that?
What scary creatures have you seen?
Could be--must be- Halloween!

Vonny, Loved Al Green's Stay Together as well as The Temptations' PaPa Was a Rolling Stone.

edgar, Ernie Ford doing Mule Train was great. Ah, Johnny doing Maria was fantastic. Didn't know he did that one.

Feeling a "tit bibsy" (odd, I put that one on Region's thread and it disappeared)That's Halloween for ya.

It means a bit of vertigo.

Two songs for the late afternoon.

First, The Blues Brothers doing Cab.

Well, since Ireland won't come to us, we'll let Van the Man sing for them.

Wonderful mix of music on our radio today, and it was great having France and England with us.

From Letty with love to all of you everywhere.

Good morning from our radio station here in Florida.

edgar, thanks for your comment on Cab and Van. Hurry back, my friend.

Izz with a y, You sent me searching.

William Shakespeare was baptized on April 26, 1564, in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. From roughly 1594 onward he was an important member of the Lord Chamberlain’s Men company of theatrical players. Written records give little indication of the way in which Shakespeare’s professional life molded his artistry. All that can be deduced is that over the course of 20 years, Shakespeare wrote plays that capture the complete range of human emotion and conflict.

Now, y'all, our poem for today:

Invictus by William Henley:

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

Back later with The Lockness Monster.
