Time to bump Letty's thread again. Here is a song from a young singer-songwriter from Sweden. Her name is Lykke Li.

Good morning from our Florida radio station.

edgar, you know that I like Harry and Marty.

gurda, I appreciate your having restored our signal and No Rest for the Wicked was great.

Today is Yo Yo Ma's birthday, and I have always thought that he was Oriental. Here are two wonderful cello pieces by that talented man.

Ah, Remembering our trip to New York and hearing George Shearing at The Embers:

and, the lyrics:

Autumn in New York, why does it seem so inviting?
Autumn in New York, it spells the thrill of first-nighting
Glittering crowds and shimmering clouds in canyons of steel
They're making me feel I'm home

It's autumn in New York, that brings the promise of new love
Autumn in New York is often mingled with pain
Dreamers with empty hands may sigh for exotic lands
It's autumn in New York, it's good to live it again

Once again, calling all poets, musicians, music lovers, painters and people who like to chat.

Strange, folks, it seems that the people with whom I have the most in common are never here any longer.

Well, today is Al Martino's birthday, so here are two songs by him:

@edgarblythe,
I like gospel music, edgar, and Ray did a wonderful job doing O Happy Day.

funny memory. Some guy was reciting When Greece Her Knees in reliance bent and he couldn't remember the rest of the recitation. Someone yelled:"Grease her knees one more time, and maybe she'll go." It reminded me of this one:

Olivia was born in England but moved to Australia.

Hope you liked the songs that I played, Texas.

@edgarblythe,
Thanks for the comment and personal acknowledgement, edgar. Johnny Cash doing Pickin' Time reminded me of Creedence Clearwater Revival.

@edgarblythe,
Once again, edgar, thanks for your comment and personal acknowledgement.

I vaguely remember Shake Me I Rattle by The Lennon Sisters.

Here's a squeeze song, but first some info on this fantastic vocalist:

Jane Monheit (born November 3, 1977) is a jazz and adult contemporary vocalist for Concord Records. She has collaborated with artists such as Michael Bublé, Ivan Lins, Terence Blanchard and Tom Harrell, and has received Grammy nominations for two of her recordings.

Now, the song:
