Do I see the ghost of edgarbergen ? Well, we'll try this gal's song and it's her birthday. I once called this the theme song of our forum.

@Letty,
Yes, I do very much remember Stoat! I never understood he was such a mover and shaker, and twister and somersaulter. Good match of music to that video.

Forgetfulness
~Billy Collins

The name of the author is the first to go
followed obediently by the title, the plot,
the heartbreaking conclusion, the entire novel
which suddenly becomes one you have never read,
never even heard of,

as if, one by one, the memories you used to harbor
decided to retire to the southern hemisphere of the brain,
to a little fishing village where there are no phones.

Long ago you kissed the names of the nine Muses goodbye
and watched the quadratic equation pack its bag,
and even now as you memorize the order of the planets,

something else is slipping away, a state flower perhaps,
the address of an uncle, the capital of Paraguay.

Whatever it is you are struggling to remember,
it is not poised on the tip of your tongue,
not even lurking in some obscure corner of your spleen.

It has floated away down a dark mythological river
whose name begins with an L as far as you can recall,
well on your own way to oblivion where you will join those
who have even forgotten how to swim and how to ride a bicycle.

No wonder you rise in the middle of the night
to look up the date of a famous battle in a book on war.
No wonder the moon in the window seems to have drifted
out of a love poem that you used to know by heart.

@lmur,
I loved The Traitor, both the music and the video, and still love Leonard's voice as much as when I first heard him.

There once was a TV series called Miami Vice. How many here recall seeing a French speaking Leonard Cohen in an episode?

Hi all you folks out there in radio-land.
I've been playing my trombone this evening, so maybe a Tommy Dorsey song would be nice.
But my golly, I can't get YouTube to work this evening. I wonder what is going wrong.
I'll call by later if I can get a result.

@McTag,
Moving right along, Tommy Dorsey has been waiting backstage, waiting for his chance to play:

And if one trombone's not enough, why not add some more?

McTag, you don't need a tube. You play slide trombone quite well.

edgar, thanks for all you songs. That ghost song was funny.

Osso/Jo, We always appreciate your comments.

Wish I could acknowledge every contribution, but as you know, I and our listeners, love every one. Always love what Latin George does.(miss euroGeorge)

Going to say good evening now with two songs.

First, an instrumental version of Stella.

Now, "the sassy" Sarah.

Incidentally, y'all, I liked Andrea's version of Grenada better.

From Letty with love to all of you here

Unfortunately no. My trombone has lain undisturbed these thirty years, until quite recently, and I've now joined a local swing band to hone my skills and for enjoyment and personal satisfaction. We're playing at a local beer festival in November...maybe somebody will film it! But we're not as good as these guys (above). Smile
