Once again, calling all musicians, music lovers, painters, and poets.

Two songs for the top of the days here. First, inspired by Latin George, two fine jazz artists.

How about a little country, now:

@neko nomad,
Back in the seventies, I shared a big space in an old Eagles Lodge with another artist - and sometimes our boyfriends. We had an art gallery and our own studio, sublet a small space to a jewelry maker, and sublet a big section a few times a week to a theater group, having art shows between theater shows. Each of us had one of the offices for a bedroom. There was a men's room and a ladies' room, I got the men's room and put flower pots in the urinals (except when the theater group was there). We both put murals in the bathrooms. Anyway, this was in sort of a funky area of town, and we had a bunch of bars around. We had our own music system, but sometimes heard from the bars, one across the street, and one down the street. The one down the street had live music, for which we would open our seven front windows wide when they played on weekends. The one across the street is imbedded in my memory for playing The Green Door extremely loudly. I managed to like it some of the time.

Ah, sorry - that reply was from around August 23rd, to Neo about The Green Door. I don't look in all the time, though I usually do 'read up' when I do.

Jim Lowe, the artist on Green Door was a favorite of mine in those days. I still like his records:
Green Door
Talkin to the Blues
From a Jack to a King
The Little Man from Chinatown

Hope y'all enjoyed my two songs. Oscar and the Count. Faron's Hello Walls was one that I enjoyed.

Olivier 5, Welcome back and loved Ingrid's Chain. Didn't know it, so once again, thanks for the introduction.

No problem, Osso. That happens frequently.

edgar, Heading for the Last Round up by Gene brought back some memories. Always get a smile from your verses, Texas.

Thinking of Tony Martin now. (thanks to my older sister) Let's give him a listen.

Good to hear from Ursula and her Swede as well.
McTag and his lovely wife are back from their vacation as well.
edgar, Neil Young doing that song about Ten Soldiers and Nixon Coming was great and brought back some memories. Thanks for the info on Jim Lowe.

Going to say goodnight with two versions of the same songs.

What I loved about the Bee Gees, they were versatile.

Good one by Mario and Adrea.

@Letty,
Thanks, Letty.
I also managed to call Neko Nomad 'Neo' - I'll try to be better at this.
I still need to go back and read up.

@edgarblythe,
Hey, Texas. Loved Heeby Jeedies by Little Richard, and since today is Thor's Day, how about this one. Incidentally today is Richard Wright's birthday and that is why I did that haiku.
