@edgarblythe,
Loved Percy Faith's Summer Place, edgar, and those trees reminded me of my ancestral Beach Trees. J.L.Nobody received the one that I sent him.

Also liked Star Dust by that group.

Here's a surprise, y'all. The King doing this one:

@edgarblythe,
edgar, as you know I love Marty Robbins, but did not know The Blues Country Style by him.

Here's another classic concerning summer.

That's the song the Lovely Bride and I danced to at our wedding (35 years ago last month).

Joe and I had been friends since fourth grade. Back in the early seventies,
Joe tended bar at Boston's Union Oyster House. I'd sometimes drop in
after work at the phone company. Joe set up a phony tab and poured me
Chivas Regal as I chowed down from the Happy Hour hors d'oeuvres. Every
time I hear this song, I think of Joe and the "1826 Lounge".

Requiescat in pace, my friend.

edgar, I likeBilly George and The Culture Club.

Latin George, I remember Billy doing the Piano Man best with Elton John
(sorry about your friend)

Also enjoyed The Village Stompers and Ray Charles, of course.

Saying goodnight with two versions of the same song.

First, Billy Vaughn.

Now, a vocal version by a gal I don't know.

Hope McTag's wife liked the tribute. Great having our
Brit with us and Scotland, too.

From Letty wth love to all of you here.

When his manager made Fats Domino record My blue Heaven, he hated the song and insisted on doing just one take, because, as he said, "I will never sing it a second time."

@edgarblythe,
Mornin' all from here in our Florida radio station.

edgar, I thought perhaps Ezra Pound had severed out connection with heaven. Razz

Well, there is always a difference of opinion concerning heaven, and I like the visuals on Norah version.

More synchronicity. You played The Stones doing You Can't Always Get What you Want, and here they are with Time and Tide.
