Ah, I was hoping our edgar would respond to Willie singing Moonlight in Vermont. Well, I guess it doesn't matter. Here's another spring song.

Let's sing along with Keely Smith. Today is her birthday. First, some info on the lady:

Smith is of Irish and Native American ancestry. Smith married Louis Prima in 1953 and divorced him in 1961. They had two children - Toni Elizabeth, Luanne Francis and Keely later adopted Paul Randolph Johnson (Randy) in 1983. Luanne is a successful documentary film and music producer, Toni Elizabeth tours the US and Great Britain annually as a featured vocalist with the Band Jive Aces in Europe and her own band domestically. Randy is a Broadway Director and Writer. Keely was born in Norfolk, Va.

Now, a great song by the lady.

@edgarblythe,
The 1970s brought us punk rock, something I appreciate greatly, but the flipside was unintelligible lyrics. This song by The Pretenders is a prime example. At the end of each verse Chrissie Hynde sigs 'Got to Stop sobbing N????' This wound me up, especially as in the pre internet days it was virtually impossible to find out what the words were. I heard it again, and looked up the lyrics, and the word is Now. I always though Now was just the one syllable, but Chrissie makes it two. No wonder I had no idea what she was singing.

@izzythepush,
Chrissie Hynde did do a beautiful version of the classic 1960's song Baby It's You.
