@izzythepush,
You sent me searching, pushman.

Mott the Hoople is an English rock band with strong R&B roots, popular in the glam rock era of the early to mid-1970s. They are probably best known for the song "All the Young Dudes", written for them by David Bowie and appearing on their 1972 album of the same name.

Love to learn here on our radio.

First, David Bowie:

Now Mott the Hoople:

Saying goodnight with The Fab Four:

and as a funny one for Danny:

There were three jolly fishermen
There were three jolly fishermen

Fisher; fisher; men, men, men.

They all went up to Amersterdam
They all went up to Amersterdam
Amster, Amster, sh, sh, sh.
Amster, Amster, sh, sh, sh. Razz

Wonderful having our Brits with us today.

From Letty with love and a smile

Good morning from our radio station here in Florida.

Two songs for the morning. First, a fantastic artist:

Now, a birthday guy that I don't know but enjoy:

Oops, I missed our edgar's Manhattan by Leonard, hope he doesn't miss my two birthday guys.

Here's one to match, Texas.

I also remember writing this poem when I was just a kid:

I sat upon a hill one day in march,
And heard the footsteps of approaching spring.

Her garments rustled like a meadowlark's
She turned the apple blossoms soft and pink.

@Letty,
Just posted this somewhere else. The story going around at the time was that the bloke who wrote it despised pop music, saying any old crap could make it into the charts. This was written to prove a point, and it made it into the charts. (Story may be apocryphal.)

@izzythepush,
Peter Paul and Mary did the same thing, with a song called I Dig Rock and Roll Music.

Michelangelo was a purty good painter and marble cutter. Didn't know the other song. Ella's Manhattan, a good old standard.

@edgarblythe,
Loved Michael Row the Boat ashore by those Highwaymen, edgar.

I was supposed to read this poem on stage so long ago, but I always got stage fright, and when I awakened with the German Measles, I was relieved.

@Letty,
Although I respond more to painting after Cezanne I have a repro of a drawing by MA in my house. He is one of the greats. Turn them upsidedown and they are super abstracts.
By the way Edgar, although I prefer Bach and the other two Bs, I also love the Beattles . Especially "Eleanor Rigsby" and "Yesterday", truly ART (and not just recreational) MUSIC.

@JLNobody,
JL, Welcome back. As you know, we always appreciates your interpretation of art. Bet you will love that poem we just played.

Speaking of the Beatles, you might like this one.
