@edgarblythe,
edgar, I loved that tribute to Harry Belafonte, and what a surprise to find out that "gentleman Jim" did Bimbo. Funny.

Today is this great actor's birthday. Remember David Niven?

I liked David Niven. It depended on the movie if I watched him act.

@edgarblythe,
I love Stars Fell on Alabama, edgar. Didn't know Don Rondo, however.

I never saw the movie Around the World in Eighty Days, but I love the theme.

Here it is with the lyrics.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVqDJP8PFYA

Around the world I've searched for you
I traveled on when hope was gone to keep a rendezvous
I knew somewhere, sometime, somehow
You'd look at me and I would see the smile you're smiling now

It might have been in County Down
Or in New York, in gay Paree, or even London town
No more will I go all around the world
For I have found my world in you

It might have been in County Down
Or in New York, in gay Paree, or even London town
No more will I go all around the world
For I have found my world in you

Yeah. I like several versions of the theme. The movie itself is a conglomeration of self indulgent scenes that ultimately bore the sox right off of me.

In his later years he billed himself as Rick Nelson and the Stone Canyon Band. My favorite by him is Garden Party.

Why this is called Quiet Village, I could never figure out. You about need ear plugs.

@edgarblythe,
That music was quite soothing to me, edgar. I started to play in a quiet and county village stood a maple on the hill, but what a surprise to find out that Hank did this.

@edgarblythe,
It's a Little More Like Heaven by Hank was great.

Thinking about our Irish friends this evening whether they be Irish American or like euroGeorge from Dublin.

First, inspired by Hank:

Now, another Irish song:

@edgarblythe,
Good morning from here in our radio station.

Loved Danny Boy by Harry, edgar. That stairway reminded me of There's a lady who knows all that glitters is gold and she buying a stariway to heaven."

How about a cheerful one by Peggy Lee.

Now, a classical piece that's not so cheerful.

@edgarblythe,
love that one by Andy Russell, edgar. As I told the bump boy, music is healing.
