edgar, Roberta is the one that introduced me to Don McLean. Didn't know the Hollywood Flames but it was a good one. Buzz Buzz Buzz reminded me of "All the Bees are Buzzing round my honey."

You know that I really like Marty, but didn't know that one by him.

hbg, Love that Hungarian song.

Hope I didn't miss anyone; I'm still a bit groggy.

Two songs for the early morning here in our Florida radio station.

First, a birthday guy and here is some info on the man:

Michael McDonald (born February 12, 1952) is an American singer and songwriter. McDonald is known for a soulful baritone singing style. He began his career singing back-up vocals with Steely Dan. He became a member of The Doobie Brothers from 1976 to 1982, a period which resulted in several hit songs for the band. He has won five Grammy Awards.

Now, his song.

Where are our poets and musicians? Miss you here. Thinking of St. Valentine's Day which will be here soon and I found this guy, but first some info.

Jeremy Philip Northam (born 1 December 1961) is an English actor.

He is best known for his roles in the films Gosford Park, Emma, Amistad, The Winslow Boy, Enigma, Martin and Lewis, Happy, Texas, The Golden Bowl, Creation and as Thomas More in the Showtime series The Tudors. Most recently, he starred in the BBC Two drama White Heat.

Now, the song:

@izzythepush,
Welcome back pushman. Hope you enjoyed Jeremy. You sent me searching, Brit.

Robert Calvert was a writer, poet, and musician.

I'm certaint this wasn't by your man, but it's a good one:

"The Hawk"

I saw the hawk today!
Oh, the majesty of it's sighting!

I breathe deeply as it turns and banks
and feel the very essence of the bird infuse my soul!

It speaks to me of "spirits" soaring.
I feel your essence, too, my son.
I see your face, all smiles and jubilation!

Do you look down on universes unimagined?
Where DO you soar?
Oh, I can only guess about the magic mysteries you view,
and all the vast expansions of your learning
since you slipped the bonds of earth
to be forever free!

Soar, bird, soar into the blue
and through my very heart!
You are such a gift I love to see
and manufacture "pure delight" for me!

@edgarblythe,
Love that one by The Kingston Trio, edgar. I know what you mean by working hard and that one composed by Woody Guthrie was perfect.

I watched a clip of TCM from I Walked With a Zombie. Spooky voodoo.

Saying goodnight with the theme from Gone With theWind. This will be dedicated to our Tryin2Lear as she is quite ill. Music is healing sometimes.

and, y'all, the lyrics:

My own true love
My own true love
At last Ive found you
My own true love

No lips but yours
No arms but yours
Will ever lead me
Through Heavens doors

I roamed the Earth
In search of this
I knew Id know you
Know you by your kiss

And by your kiss
Youve shown true love
Im yours forever
My own true love

My own true love

From Letty with love to everyone here.

Call of the Hills was great, edgar. Thanks again for the personal acknowledgement and a reminder of Ken Curtis.

Sleep well, Herr hbg. Know all of those songs. Great ones.
