Maria von Trapp - part 2 :

Quote:
Maria Augusta von Trapp (born Maria Augusta Kutschera, 26 January 1905 – 28 March 1987), was the stepmother and matriarch of the Trapp Family Singers.[2][3] Her story served as the inspiration for a 1956 German film that in turn inspired the Broadway musical The Sound of Music[4] and subsequently the 1965 blockbuster film The Sound of Music.

@hamburgboy,
Welcome back Herr hbg. Love It Had to Be You by Stephane. Was that French song done in Belfast, Ireland? If so, more synchronicity, because I'm going to say goodnight with a old Celtic hymn. (thinking of euroGeorge)

So nice having our British man with us today, as well as Texas and You Ontario via Germany.

From Letty with love to all of you

A friend of mine is arranging for the big band and I got him "Sway" by Rosemary Clooney and Perez Prado to copy. Also "Manhattan" by Ella. We'll see how it turns out.
I don't like Michael Buble. I don't like that thing he does with his leg.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, good to see you back in our radio station.

I had no idea that Patsy Cline did it either. I just remember the music; not always the performer, Texas. Didn't know that version by Floyd Tillman, either.

Here's another surprise to me, y'all. My older sister first introduced her to me, and then I found out that she was George Clooney's aunt
